sister friend

BFF
Kaden, Keira and Micah
Kaden doting on Micah :)

Along the walk of life you meet many people but once in awhile you meet a friend that becomes like family and as an 18 year old college student I met Jessica Roberts. She was from Wisconsin and I was from Texas. She came from a small town and I came from the big city. She was the youngest child and I was the oldest child. She had a northern accent (which she denied, ha) and I had a southern accent (though not as bad as Emily ;). We were quite an unlikely pair but God brought our paths together that August day on the 1st floor of Mary Gaston dormitory and we haven't lost touch since.

We have so many amazing memories together; like meeting our college advisors together for the very first time ;), living in Dallas the summer after our freshman year, Nu Alpha Phi, traveling to the Cayman Islands together, roadtrips, Graduation Day (HALLELUJAH!), our weddings, our friend reunions every summer . . . I am so thankful for a true friend that she has always been to me. I am thankful for how she pushes me to know God better, to answer hard questions and to truly LOVE with my whole heart and live a purposeful life. She is one amazing girl and God has given her an international ministry just by being her and letting Christ shine through her life.

Now that we are mothers, I pray that we can raise our children to know and experience the faithful God that we know and share with them the ways HE carried us along our path. I hope they will see how kind God is and how He blesses us with amazing friends who are not only friends but become our extended family.

I remember the summer of your freshman year - what a blessing to have another daughter for the summer. Jessica you made that summer so much fun and gave me lots of stories to tell! Ha!
So proud of you and how God has used you and Stephen and super happy that He brought you back to the states!
Can't wait to see you again.
